The house was built by the previous owner pre-WWII. The previous owner died several years ago and the widow survives in a nursing home.  No other information is available. The new owners moved into the home in January, 2008.

1) Noises of footsteps in the hallway.
2) Dog was tied up in the basement during severe storms. Later was found untied from its original location and the leash was wrapped around a pole and collar of the dog.
3) Photos taken with a disposable camera with weird images on them.
4) Noises coming from the attic.
5) Homeowner was out in the front yard and heard a loud noise and noticed the neighbors TV antenna shaking very hard. He saw a large object flying past the antenna but couldn't tell what it was. He described it being like a large white sheet.
6) During a trip down in the basement to check on laundry, the wife noticed the plumb-bob that was hanging just inside the door was swinging heavily for no apparent reason.
7) Home owners claimed being touched in their bedroom.

Ten digital voice recorders, digital and K2 EMF meters, thermometer, five IR video cameras and one documentary HD IR video camera.

Base Measurements

The investigation began at 10:31 pm and ended at 1:57 am. lasting 3 hours and 26 minutes. Investigators present on this night were: Robert, Greg, Kenny, Shanon and Ricky. The homeowners stayed in the house during the investigation and remained in the living room on the couch in view of a video camera. The video cameras  were placed in various locations including the living room facing the dining room, attic, child's bedroom, kitchen and basement. Voice recorders were placed in front of each video camera and mobile voice recorders were held by each investigator during the night. Documentary video and audio recorders recorded the entire investigation. This was a special Friday the 13th investigation. Also on this night was the tail end of the Perseid Meteor Shower. We decided to split into teams. Team 1 was Ricky and Shanon. Team 2 was Greg and Robert. Kenny was documentary all night.

Investigation Timeline

10:31 pm- Voice recorders started recording from the kitchen.

10:35 pm- Team 2 exited the home. Team 1 went into the basement to start their first session.
10:36 pm- Ricky began the first EVP session in the basement.
10:37 pm- Neighbor's dog began barking outside.
10:45 pm- A noise like a small pebble being thrown was heard in the basement.
10:47 pm- EVP session continued in the basement with Ricky and Shanon.
10:50 pm- Shanon announced the time and suggested going upstairs.
10:50 pm- Shanon asked Ricky if he had seen any shadows while in the basement. Ricky said headlights coming through the windows may be causing the shadows.
10:51 pm- They began walking up the basements steps.
10:52 pm- Team 1 entered the children's bedroom.
11:00 pm- Ricky mentions the fact that the floor pops and cracks a lots when walking on it. Shanon also gets the K2 meter out to play the "green light game". Asking if there are any entities in the room with us to please change the color of the light on the meter.
11:05 pm- Shanon comments, "I don't think anybodys here."
11:07 pm- A noise occurred. Shanon replied, "that was one of the homeowners setting a can down in the living room."
11:14 pm- Team 1 completed their first session then exited the house. The group convened on the deck for a few minutes before team 2 entered the house.
11:19 pm- Team 2 enters the house and decides to begin their session in the dinning room.
11:20 pm- Robert stated that the cops have someone pulled over out in front of the house.
11:21 pm- Robert and Greg begin their first EVP session.
11:26 pm- Kenny stated that he saw a bug fly in front of Greg in the HD camera's viewfinder.
11:31 pm- The home owners were asked to interact in the EVP session as the team moved into the living room.
11:35 pm- The home owner asked, "Are you waiting on Betty?" Betty being the deceased previous owner's wife that lives in a nursing home.
11:39 pm- Greg asked if they wanted to try their luck down in the basement.
11:40 pm- Team 2 enters the basement and continues the EVP session.
11:41 pm- Greg said, "I'm assuming they're up there walking around". We all heard someone walking around in the living room which was above where we were in the basement.
11:48 pm- Robert checked his video tape that was in the basement stating it had a half hour remaining.
11:51 pm- Greg said he saw a light on the corner of the wall. Robert checked using the flashlight to see if it could have come from the west window of the basement. Turned out to be coming from the south window.
11:54 pm- An I pod docking station alarm went off that was lying in the basement. Greg took it upstairs to check with the homeowners.

11:57 pm- Greg returns to the basement and the homeowners claim they did not get up earlier when we heard the sound of someone walking around in the living room leaving it a mystery..

12:04 am- Team 2 leaves the basement and exits the house after Greg replaces the MiniDV's tape that was in the kitchen.
12:06 am- The homeowners step outside with the group for a break.
12:18 am- Team 1 and the owners return to the house. The group begins their second session in the attic.
12:19 am- They arrive in the attic.
12:20 am- Shanon asks if anyone took a deep breath. Kenny said it might have been him but on the recorder, all Kenny did was clear his throat.  No deep breath was taken on playback.
12:22 am- The tape in the IR video camera in the attic ran out.
12:23 am- Shanon began asking questions.
12:27 am- They decide to go back downstairs. Kenny changes the tape in the camera before they leave the attic.
12:32 am- They arrive in the Master Bedroom. Shanon asks questions. The room remains quiet for about 10 minutes.
12:41 am- Team 1 decides to move on back to the daughters' bedroom which is only a few feet away.
12:52 am- Ricky says, "We're going to be leaving this room soon, can you give us a sign?"
12:53 am- The team moves back to the basement for the remainder of their final session. They conduct their final EVP session in the basement for nearly 10 minutes.
01:03 am- Team 1 exits the home.
01:08 am- Team 2 returns for their final session of the night. When they go into the house, the owner recalls getting up from the couch to look out the window solving the mystery of the noise team 2 heard after going to the basement at 11:41 pm.
01:11 am- They went into the children's bedroom. The team opened the closet door, asked questions and listened for anything. No sounds, feelings or sightings were experienced.
01:15 am- Robert said he heard something but wasn't sure of the sounds direction.  The homeowners were in the living room on the couch so the noise could have possibly come from them. There was a noise recorded on the voice recorder just before Robert announced it.
01:22 am- The team decides to go into the master bedroom and listen for anything.
01:29 am- Hoping to get a response, Greg and Robert try using their flashlights as a way to communicate with any spirits in the room.
01:33 am- They move to the kitchen. Robert gets his digital camera out and begins to take some photos around the ground floor of the house.
01:41 am- Robert moving around the house reminded Greg how much the floor creeks like at the Story Inn. When Robert was in the dining room, it sounded like someone was coming up the steps from the basement.
01:44 am- Kenny heard another video camera tape end. Greg thought it may have been Ricky's from the children's room.
01:45 am- The team makes their way to the attic for their final session of the night.
01:48 am- Robert noticed that his last photo taken with his digital camera has a strange light anomaly in the photo. They spend several minutes trying to reproduce this image.
01:55 am- Greg suggests we wrap up this investigation. Robert adds that the investigation is complete. The team proceeds downstairs to gather all equipment and informs the homeowners.
01:57 am- Documentary voice recorder stops recording.

Hoosier Paranormal did not find any evidence of anything paranormal on this night. As with many investigations, paranormal activity is completely random and unpredictable.
