| One night, a few years back, I was
lying in bed, restlessly trying to fall asleep. I had just turned the
television off, shut the bedroom door, and turned off all the lights. I
was lying on a full-size bed that was pushed up against the wall on one
side. I was on the outside of the bed with my back to the wall, on my
right side. Just as the silence was starting to set in, I felt like
something had entered the space around my head (like when someone
standing behind you puts their hand near your head, and you know it's
there without looking.) A split second after I felt this presence I
heard a woman's soft voice whisper "I'm lying right next to you." I
would have written it off as a probable fantasy dream or something, but
I was definitely HEARING an actual voice, instead of an imagined (in my
head) type of voice. It was also only heard in one ear and not the
other at all, exactly like someone was really lying next to me and
whispering in my ear. All this coupled with the actual sensation of
someone being near my head sent me barreling toward the light switch!
When I had turned the light on and looked over, nobody was there... and
I can't recall whether I was disappointed, or not. At the time, I had
lived in that house for over twenty years, and that was the only
unexplainable event that had ever happened to me there. Brandon |
